Who We Are

ASIC is a U.S. based excess & surplus lines carrier (domiciled in Arizona) and an accredited reinsurer in select states. We write various transport, marine, inland marine, general liability and miscellaneous insurance products as a non-admitted carrier, catering to the primary program insurance business segment in the domestic market.

Our mission is to consistently add value to our partners, provide customized coverage and superior service. We utilize our vast experience and long-standing relationships in the reinsurance industry to fortify a mutually beneficial business model.

Our Strategy

Relationship-Driven, Partnership Focused

At ASIC, we utilize a proactive and disciplined underwriting approach when accessing primary business. We identify program administrators with a consistent record in their classes of business and a robust infrastructure which has demonstrable success in those classes. We design our processes with the aim of maximizing our support to the U.S. domestic market by providing high quality and superior service. The surplus lines distribution system is a dynamic and ever-evolving part of the insurance industry, and we add value through providing access to coverage that is otherwise unavailable in the admitted market.

 

ASIC utilizes a variety of value added partnerships with retail producers, national wholesale brokers, managing general agents (MGA), underwriting managers, and program managers. We generate insureds via retail producers, distributors, and program managers who deal directly with insurance buyers with similar characteristics, loss exposures, and critical insurance needs (that cannot be placed within the admitted market). ASIC pursues a focused differentiation strategy by directing efforts on segments of the market that are inadequately served by admitted insurers and in which ASIC has specialized expertise.

 

ASIC provides much needed coverage for our existing and future insurance customers, partners, and clients. The business written is driven by our nimble response to changes and buyer-driven needs, including technology advancement, social and environmental changes, and other regulatory needs. At ASIC, we cater to a unique market and client base. We focus on niche areas where available coverage is inadequate, and we empower businesses within these areas to prosper with the coverages they require.
