DALLAS, TX, October 28th, 2025 — AM Specialty Insurance Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Dominick Tassone Jr. to Chief Executive Officer of AM Specialty Insurance Company (ASIC U.S.), effective January 1, 2026.
Dominick brings over four decades of experience in the insurance industry, with a distinguished career spanning underwriting leadership, program development, and strategic management. Since joining AM Specialty in 2023 as Chief Underwriting Officer, Dominick has played a central role in building the company’s U.S. underwriting strategy, contributing to profitable growth, and advancing its specialty capabilities.
Prior to joining AM Specialty, Dominick served as Vice President of Underwriting at Spinnaker Insurance Company, and previously held several senior executive positions at Aspen Insurance Group, where he led underwriting strategy and operations within the U.S. Program Division as Executive Vice President. His career also includes leadership roles with Capitol Insurance Companies and QBE the Americas, where he oversaw regional underwriting and business development efforts.
Dominick’s leadership will be instrumental in guiding ASIC U.S. through its next phase of growth, with continued focus on technical underwriting, disciplined portfolio management, and strong broker and program partnerships.
Shevawn Barder will continue in her role as Group Chief Executive Officer of AM Specialty Insurance Group and will be based in New York, overseeing the group’s broader strategic direction and international operations.
Dominick’s promotion underscores AM Specialty’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team and expanding its footprint across the specialty insurance and reinsurance markets within the U.S.
